Parish Finance Committee
In accordance with Canon Law, the Finance Committee advises and assists the Parish Priest with management of the parish finances and management and maintenance of parish properties. The role of the committee is to
- Assist the parish priest in overseeing and managing the financial affairs of the parish
- Review the parish accounts
- Consider proposals for change, renovations and maintenance and monitoring of parish buildings and facilities.

Donate via our website
The donate facility on the parish website allows you to make contributions to both the parish and the Diocese. You can make one-off contributions or set up recurring payments. You can also pay for Baptism/Confirmation certificates and Mass Intentions.
Donate via planned giving: envelopes/standing orders/annual donations
You can make contributions using a family offering envelope or by standing order or by online bank transfer. There is a link to download the form at the bottom of this page. Please complete the form and return to the parish office. You can also set up a standing order using your own online banking facility. We are also very pleased to accept cash or cheques which you may leave in the Parish Office.
Weekly church collections
There are 2 collections at each weekend Mass :
- The 1st collection is remitted in full to the Diocese and is used to support all diocesan clergy – those in active ministry and priests who are ill or retired.
- The 2nd collection is for Share and this is also remitted in full to the Diocese. This collection allows the Diocese to provide support to parish communities in child safeguarding, education and schools, repairs to buildings, prudent financial management, human resources and training people to work in evangelisation and catechesis.
While the church is closed for public Masses during the current Level 5 restrictions we are pleased to accept contributions for the weekly church collections by cash/cheque/online.
Christmas and Easter Dues
Envelopes are distributed to each household in the parish in the weeks preceding Christmas and Easter. Envelopes are also available in the church at these times. You may return envelopes to the parish office. You may also make Dues contributions via the donate button on the parish website.
Where your contributions go:
To the Parish
Funds contributed through planned giving (weekly envelopes, standing orders, annual donations and parish contributions via the donate facility) are retained by the parish and are used for the regular parish running costs which include:
- Maintenance and repair of the church building, the presbyteries, the parish office and the church grounds
- Utilities—heating, lighting, alarm systems and CCTV
- Salaries of lay staff
- All church and altar supplies
- Pastoral initiatives and parish communications
- Annual insurance and local property tax costs
To the Diocese
The 1st collection at each Mass is remitted in full to the Diocese and is used in the support of clergy who are in active ministry in the Diocese and also in the support of retired clergy and those who are ill.
The 2nd collection at each Mass (the Share collection) is also remitted in full to the Diocese This collection allows the Diocese to provide support to parish communities in child safeguarding, education and schools, repairs to buildings, prudent financial management, human resources and training people to work in evangelisation and catechesis.

Any diocesan contributions made via the donate facility are remitted in full to the Diocese also.
The Charitable Donation Scheme allows the parish to claim tax relief on qualifying donations and this scheme is a vital source of funding for the parish. If you donate more than €250 per year a refund of tax paid is available directly to the Parish.
We ask qualifying parishioners to complete a tax reclaim form—CHY3 form (There is a link to download the form at the bottom of this page). These are enduring certificates and are valid for 5 years (there is no need to complete a form every year). We will contact you if the 5 year form has expired.
